Frequently Asked Questions

The first step is to set up an appointment with Lehman Custom Pools. We’ll spend time with you to fully understand your needs and wants and discuss different options  so we can draft renderings for you to review. Once you fall in love with the concept and design, we will provide a contract detailing the wonderful work you can expect from us.

We take care of all the paperwork, permits, technical drawings, hydraulics, and/or engineering as required. Then we can start building your dream pool and backyard. We’ll do everything we can to make the whole process go smoothly.

Q. How do I actually go about buying a pool? What is the process?

A.

Each Lehman Custom project is unique so it’s difficult to give a general length of time for completion. Depending on the scope of the project, it will take an average of 6 to 10 weeks, including permitting.

We’ll provide a firm completion date once your design is finalized.

Q. How long will it take to build a Lehman Custom Pool?

A.

The best approach is to have Lehman Custom Pools build the pool in sync with your new home so they are completed about the same time. Among the advantages are the ability to integrate the pool computer system directly into your home along with running the wires and cables through the walls before they are finished. Also, you can save a significant cost by running the required power, water and gas piping for the pool together with the house. We would coordinate this directly with your home builder.

Q. Should I wait until the building of my new home has been completed before I start building the pool?

A.

For your family, a pool will add unlimited value - how much value can you place on hours of enjoyment with your family and friends. In terms of resale, we believe a Lehman Custom Pool would be the highlight of your open house. A potential buyer may meander through the house thinking this is great but the last couple of houses were great too…until they exit the back door and are delighted to find a backyard oasis. Sold.
